Veronika Jioeva, a famous opera star, will take part in the festival, that is to be held on the main stage of NOVAT 8 – 13 July. Veronica is a national artist of Alania, North Ossetia republic, a national artist of South Ossetia republic, a winner of many prestigious awards and titles. During this festival she will provide the audience with a real celebration of opera art performing the lead parts in five shows. A grand gala concert featuring the world opera stars will set a final chord for this musical congress.

Veronika Jioeva is well known and highly anticipated at the best world theatres and I am pleased that not only had she found a way to star in five performances at her home stage, but also invited her friends, brilliant young singers, on top of their career – tells Vladimir Kekhman, the general director of NOVAT – the opera art is inconceivable without the genuine stars. I’m sure that Veronica’s performances and the upcoming gala-concert will become a real celebration for out theatre and for the city.”
Veronica Jioeva will star for the Novosibirsk audience in her favorite characters: Mimi in Puccini's “La Boheme” (June 8), Aida in Verdi’s opera of the same name (June 16), Micaela in “Carmen” by Bizet (June 30). Beside that, the diva has prepared a special gift for the Novosibirsk audience – she will make two debuts of a great value for her: 23 June the star will perform a lead part in Puccini’s opera “Turandot”, and 5 July the audience will have an opportunity to see her performing Amelia in Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera” for the first time.
The final chord for the festival will be set by a gala-concert, involving the guest stars of the world opera: Vasily Ladyuk, Julia Matochkina, Liana Sass and the soloists of NOVAT’s opera company. Dmitry Korchak will conduct the concert; Vyacheslav Starodubtsev will be the director.
