This one-act ballet was first staged in the mid-XX century at the Bolshoi Theatre and became a success not only in Moscow, but also abroad. Asaf Messerer showed to the audience the dancers’ daily work at the ballet studio. During this staged lesson, each artist from a young pupil to a Company Principal performs various traditional exercises – from simple ones to the most intricate. A cascade of masterful leaps and spins turns a ballet class into an unforgettable show.
