Tickets for the April performances on the Grand Stage are already on sale

The NOVAT Grand Stage repertoire for April has already been published on our website. Hurry up to buy tickets in the mobile application, on the website and at the box office of the theatre.

The April playbill will be opened by the ballet La fille mal gardée (Vain Precaution) with the participation of a fabulous cast. People's Artist of Russia Nikolay Tsiskaridze will perform the part of the Widow Simone in the ballet; along with him soloists of the Mikhailovsky Theatre Anzhelina Vorontsova and Nikita Chetverikov will be on the stage of NOVAT. La fille mal gardée is the only production to date in which you can see the legendary principal dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre on stage. Do not miss this opportunity in the evening of March 31 and April 1.

The April performing of Puccini's opera Tosca will be held with the participation of world opera star Veronika Dzhioeva. The role of Floria Tosca is one of the most successful works of the singer, whose brilliant career began on the stage of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. We invite you to see and hear the opera diva in the signature part on the stage of her native theatre on April 9. In April, world hits Carmen by G. Bizet (April 15) and Prince Igor by A. Borodin (April 22) are waiting for admirers of opera art.

The ballet playbill for April includes Romeo and Juliet (afternoon and evening on April 2) and Cinderella (afternoon and evening on April 8) by S. Prokofiev, Swan Lake (April 6 and 7) and The Sleeping Beauty (afternoon and evening on April 16) by P. Tchaikovsky, Spartacus by A. Khachaturian (April 12), La Bayadere by L. Minkus (April 13 and 14). An evening of one-act ballets by Edward Clug will take place on April 19; the audience will enjoy original modern productions of Ssss to the music of F. Chopin and Radio and Juliet to the music of the cult-favorite British rock band Radiohead.

In April, our stage will host performances of ballets that started last season with great success and won the love of our audience. Roland Petit's famous ballet Notre Dame de Paris - a stylish, dynamic plastic reading of Victor Hugo's great novel - will be shown on April 20 and 21. In the afternoon and evening on April 23, we invite the whole family to watch a fabulous fairy show - Rodion Shchedrin's ballet The Little Humpbacked Horse with an incredible visual solution that combines the beauty of Russian folk crafts and amazing digital special effects.

Dear spectators, please note that during the last week of April, the St. Petersburg Academic Ballet Theatre of Boris Eifman will be performing on the NOVAT Grand Stage. In Novosibirsk, the renowned team will show four productions by the innovative choreographer Boris Eifman, forming the tetralogy Another Realm for the Word: Anna Karenina (2005), Eugene Onegin (2009), Beyond Sin (2013) and The Seagull. A Ballet Story (2022). All performances of the tour program are based on the works of Russian literary classics.
