Tickets for the performances of the 79th season are already on sale!

We are glad to announce that tickets for the first performances of the 79th season have already gone on sale!

We invite Novosibirsk residents and guests of the city to complement their summer impressions with the pleasure of hearing luxurious opera voices, seeing the grace and filigree technique of ballet dancers, plunging into a unique theatrical atmosphere during the holidays.

The new opera season will be opened on July 19 by The Tsar's Bride by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, the resonant premiere of the previous season. This is a spectacular performance with a bright, impressive visual solution staged by the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of NOVAT Dmitri Jurowski and the Theatre Chief Stage Director, Honored Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Starodubtsev.

The ballet season will be opened on July 20 and 21 with the ongoing premiere shows of the ballet Anyuta. It’s the famous production of the legendary master, People's Artist of the USSR Vladimir Vasiliev to the music of Valery Gavrilin. The author of the performance managed to preserve the special intonation of the Chekhov's story Anna on the Neck, which served as the basis of the libretto, and to put the characters in the picturesque atmosphere of an old provincial town, which comes to life on stage thanks to expressive scenery. The ballet conquers the hearts of the audience with exciting music, elegant choreography, genuine drama and sincere emotions.

The new season on the Small Stage will be opened on July 20 by The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart, the first performance of the popular cycle Mozartiana. Another spectacular production from this cycle, the opera Don Giovanni, awaits the audience on the Small Stage on July 26.

For devotees of opera art, the July playbill features masterpieces of the world repertoire: the magnificent Carmen by G. Bizet (July 29 on the Grand Stage).

On Saturday, July 22, we invite the audience to visit the theatre with the whole family. On this day, the Grand and Small stages will host performances, which certainly give a lot of pleasure and unforgettable impressions to both children and adults. In the evening, on the Grand Stage, the audience will be able to see our absolute hit for the whole family – the ballet The Little Humpbacked Horse by R. Shchedrin, a dazzling extravaganza with a Russian flavour. On this day, the Small Stage will host a new opera that has graced the NOVAT family repertoire in the spring – The Extraordinary Adventures of Buratino by the Moscow composer Andrey Semenov. Wonderful music, exciting action, bright dancing, mischievous tricks, humor and skill of the artists of the NOVAT Opera Company captivate the audience from young to old, forcing them to watch a bright musical fairy tale with bated breath. Alexander Kulygin's opera The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish, the premiere of the educational cycle of family performances Pushkiniana, will be shown on the Small Stage on July 29. The new performance will traditionally delight the audience with unusual scenery and costumes, memorable actors’ performing, imagination and kindness.

In the July ballet playbill you will find the most famous ballets of the world classical repertoire –Swan Lake by P. Tchaikovsky (July 25 and 26) and Cinderella by S. Prokofiev (July 27 and 28).
