On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays we invite you to make a musical tour to snow-covered Vienna. On December 21 and January 7, Tales of the Vienna Woods gala concert will be held.
Musical Vienna means fascinating waltzes, light quadrilles, blistering gallops, amusing jokes… This is everlasting youth of feelings and inexhaustible resplendence of melodies. In old days there was not a single ball in Vienna that could do without Johann Strauss the Elder and his famous son’s (also Johann, who had a title of “The King of Waltzes” and who managed to raise the light dancing music to the heights of symphonic masterpieces) compositions. The programme of gala concert in NOVAT will be made up out of popular pieces by the father and the son Strausses. It will contain arias from Die Fliedermaus, Der Zigeunebaron, Der Karneval in Rom, Der LustigeKrieg, performed by Olga Kolobova, Irina Novikova, Pavel Yankovsky, Daria Shuvalova, Svetlana Tokareva, Maria Belokurskaya, SergueyKuzmin, Viktor Ditenbir. The symphonic Orchestra of NOVAT conducted by Pyotr Belyakin will play waltzes An der shonenblauen Donau, Geschichtenausdem Wienerwald, Kaizer Waltzer. The gala concert will be crowned by the famous Radetzky March.
