A cultural event unique in its scale and value is going to amaze the Novosibirsk audience in July 2018 – guest performance of Opéra National de Paris at NOVAT.
11th and 12th July the famous ballet company will present a refined show on NOVAT stage, which will include works of outstanding contemporary choreographers.
Preliminary date of ticket sales launch for the Paris national opera guest performance is set on 11th April.
The intension of a joint project for the Paris national opera and the Novosibirsk theatre was conceived during the negotiation between Vladimir Kekhman the Artistic Director of NOVAT and Stephane Lissner the Director of the Paris Opera.
Vladimir Kekhman: “I would like to express my deep gratitude to Atephane Lissner and to Aurélie Dupont, Director of the Paris Opera ballet company, who managed to add Novosibirsk to their tight touring schedule in shortest time possible and also to propose such an impressive programme. I must also thank the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation as well as the Ministry of Finance – it would be impossible to deliver this project without their participation and extensive support”.
The Novosibirsk programme of the Paris Opera guest performance will include: a show by an outstanding contemporary choreographer Hans van Manen “Trois Gnosiennes” with music by Erik Satie; a ballet production “Faun” by the Belgian maestro Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui; “The Art of Not Looking Back” performance by a British avant-garde choreographer Hofesh Shechter; and Crystal Pite’s ballet “The Seasons’ Canon”.
