New seating chairs will be installed in the house of the Novosibirsk opera and ballet theatre. Famous Italian company Poltrona Frau, which dedicated more than 30 years to theatre interior designs, manufactured them specifically for Novosibirsk.
According to Nikita Arkhipov, author of the interior design and head of ROIR Company, audience seating quality will comply with the highest up-to-date requirements. Unlike previous seating chairs the new ones are comfortable and manufactured with due regard to all ergonomic standards. Materials and clamps are the newest ones but design is based on 1945 historical drawings. Special seat back angle and velvet upholstery, made also on the chairs’ backside, will improve acoustics of the house.
It is planned to install 755 chairs in total.
