Traditionally on the first days of New Year NOVAT invites the audience to indulge in a magic atmosphere of the most New Year ballet tale. Tchaikovsky’s enchanting music, Christmas tree covered in flickering lights and the city wrapped in snow behind the window – all this sets a particular mood and keeps you expecting a miracle during the audience’s beloved “The Nutcracker” ballet scheduled on 2nd and 3rd January.
4th January “The Nutcracker” will give way to a well-known fairy-tale, kind and miraculous, telling the audience about the magic power of a dream. The celebratory “Cinderella” ballet will delight the audience with virtuoso dances, rich and colourful costumes and impress with special effects all the way till Christmas.
Rossini’s merry music will take the audience to sunny Spain on 8th January. Adventurous Figaro helps people find love, spins intrigues and finds a witty way out from any situation.
Later on in January we invite the audience to enjoy the ever-young Tchaikovsky’s ballet masterpieces. “The Sleeping Beauty” will be performed at the Main Stage of NOVAT on 10th January, followed by “Swan Lake” matinee and evening show on 11th January.
Strauss’ mesmerizing operetta “Die Fledermaus” is to be performed on 12th January at NOVAT. Whirlwind of Viennese Waltz, light and captivating story about twists and turns of family life flavoured with audacious humour will help retain the holiday spirit for the long haul.
