Tickets for the 75th season go on sale

Dear members of the audience! Tickets for the next season at NOVAT’s Main stage are now available at the box office and on the theatre website.

The anniversary 75th season of the Novosibirsk theatre will open on 11, 12 September with A. Khachaturian’s legendary “Spartacus” ballet with Yury Grigorovich‘s famous choreography and featured with world ballet stars. The September playbill will include as well the brightest ballet premieres of the previous season: Swan Lake (13, 14 September) and one-act ballets Class Concert, Rubies, Theme and Variations (18, 19 September). The first part of the new season’s ballet playbill will also feature the Novosibirsk audience’s favorite performances – a magic ballet Cinderella (20, 21 September), playful Cipollino (14 September), a sublime drama Romeo and Juliet, (25, 26 September), the world classical ballet’s gem Giselle, and a contemporary dramatic ballet Peer Gynt (27 September).

The new opera season will open on 15 September with Strauss’ Die Fledermaus featuring the Novosibirsk opera stars. We invite you to enjoy a gorgeous and witty performance that incorporates captivating music, most intricate vocal parts – a top class performance by an opera singer, audacious humor and holiday spirit.

Dmitry Belyanushkin’s staging of Rossini’s Barber of Seville, much loved by the audience in the past 74th season will be performed again for all opera goers on 22 September. The festival of Veronika Dzhioeva, the Honored Artist of Russia will continue at NOVAT in September. The world opera star will garnish audience’s favorite NOVAT opera productions and please opera admirers with her brilliant soprano combined with versatile acting.

October playbill at NOVAT will open with a festive ballet Don Quixote (1 October). The autumn repertory will also include most spectacular and exuberant ballets: Coppélia (3, 4 October), Le Corsaire (5 October), La Bayadère (10, 11 October), The Sleeping Beauty (12 October). The contemporary one-act ballets Ssss and Radio and Juliet will be performed on 8 October.

NOVAT October playbill includes Giuseppe Verdi’s opera masterpieces Aida (6 October), Un Ballo in Maschera (13 October) staged by NOVAT’s Chief Stage Director Vyacheslav Starodubtsev. Another famous piece of the world opera repertoire, Ruggero Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, will be performed on the Main stage on 9 October.
