The Childen’s Day is traditionally celebrated on the first day of summer and alongside that holiday, Tchaikovsky’s ballet “The Nutcracker” with the classical choreography by a ballet master Vasily Vaynonen will be performed at NOVAT. Young students of the Novosibirsk State Choreographic College usually take part in this performance, which opens in the atmosphere of a warm family holiday.
“Each appearance on the stage is a very good experience for our students – notes Alexander Shelemov, the Honored Cultural Worker of the Russian Federation, artistic director of the Novosibirsk State Choreographic College – taking part in a real performance with the lead theatre artists is a very practical thing, even as a part of the education process. No need to say that during this experience they see their goal, what they will become after graduating from our college”.
“The Nutcracker” ballet happens to be the first clash with art for many viewers and during the summer holidays this performance keeps being the most popular show among Russian theatres. The young dancers participating in Vasily Vaynonen’s production have to work hard even during the holidays. The next performance of Vasily Vaynonen’s production of “The Nutcracker” will be held on 1st, 2nd, 3rd June. Tickets are available on the website and at the theatre box office.
