An outstanding singer, a talented tutor, National Artist of the RSFSR Zinaida Zakharovna Didenko would have turned 80 years on 22nd April. The singer passed away in February 2018, lacking two months to her anniversary. Performance of “Aida” on 24th April will be dedicated to the memory of Zinaida Didenko.
Zinaida Didenko devoted more than 20 years of her artistic career to the Novosibirsk opera; she made a great contribution to the Novosibirsk musical heritage having performed several dozens of roles on the theatre stage. She was rightfully considered the unmatched performer of Verdi’s music, parts of Aida, Desdemona, Leonora and other. A famous tenor, National Artist of USSR Valery Egudin was her stage partner for many years.
A talented, attentive and foresighted tutor, Zinaida Zakharovna has raised several generations of singers currently working at musical theatres and philharmonic societies in Russia, Germany, Korea and other countries. One of them is a soloist with the Novosibirsk Vyskribentsev theatre of musical comedy; soloists with NOVAT T. Gorbunova, O. Babkina, M. Efanova, O. Videman, L. Ustyuzhanina, I. Churilova, I. Novikova, O. Egudina, V. Ditenbir; professor of the Busan and the Hanoi universities Jo Hye Ryun, professor of the Seoul university Yoon Ji, laureates of Russian and international competitions T. Bogdanchikova (Spain), Y. Poleshchuk (Italy) and others. This year NOVAT opera company was joined by another two bright students of Zinaida Zakharovna – baritone Gury Guryev and a soprano singer Anna Dattay.
Zinaida Zakharovna was extremely proud for her students and happy for their achievements.
Performance of the opera “Aida” dedicated to the memory of an outstanding singer and a brilliant tutor will be featured with her students – Honored Artist of Russia Oleg Videman as Radames and Irina Novikova as the priestess. Main part will be performed by Irina Churilova. Soloist of NOVAT opera company, laureate of international and Russian competitions, guest soloist of the Mariinsky and the Bolshoi theatre, Irina Churilova performed Aida at the renowned annual festival “Arena di Verona” (Italy).
