The Novosibirsk State Choreographic School will put up a graduation performance at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on Monday, 5 June. The history of this ballet school, which has graduated 54 classes of young ballet dancers, is closely related to the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
\“The Theatre and the NGHU have been working as one organism during the whole artistic life – noted Alexander Vasilevsky, the director of the school – the ballet company consists of the School graduates almost at full. This year, eight graduates received honorable invitations to the NOVAT’s ballet company”.
During the first decade of its life the Theatre was badly in need of people, and consequently the creation of the Choreographic school was issued in 1956. Many graduates of the School have become the ballet stars, loved and appreciated by the Novosibirsk audience – the national artists of RF Lyubov Gershunova, Larisa Matyuhina-Vasilevskaya, Alexander Balabanov, and the following years, the talented graduates of the school have been constantly filling the ballet company of the theatre.
This graduation performance is not only the last stage play for the NGHU graduates, but also a first entrance to the big theatre stage, which will remain the most important event, bright and memorable.
The graduation performance will include the scenes and dance items from the classical ballet repertoire – “Giselle”, “Le Corsair”, “Paquita”, “Don Quixote”, “The Flames of Paris”, and also the short acts of the great contemporary choreographers. The performance will be adorned by the charming and colorful crowd scenes played by the younger students of the School.
“This year, the performance will be dedicated to the memory of an outstanding dance teacher of the Novosibirsk State Choreographic School, Valery Petrovich Bubnov – stated Alexander Vasilevsky.”
