On March 8, on the date of the holiday of spring, the Novosibirsk opera and ballet theatre (NOVAT) dedicated The Flames of Paris performance to the memory of People’s Artist of the USSR Lidia Krupenina.
“Over the course of my life I have accompanied three great women on their last journey: Ninelle Kurgapkina, Elena Obraztsova and now Lidia Krupenina”, said Vladimir Kekhman, Director General of the Novosibirsk opera and ballet theatre (NOVAT), “They were absolutely different. What united them was their selfless devotion to the profession. Lidia Krupenina will forever remain in history of ballet and the Novosibirsk Theatre. I’m sure that Anna Zharova, Ivan Vasiliev and all participants of the evening will deliver a spectacular performance fit to commemorate the famed ballerina.”
