Alexey Lukirskiy

First prize winner of the International Johannes Brahms Competition (Austria, 2003)

Alexey Lukirsky was born in Kharkov, Ukrain in 1976. At the age of six he started taking violin lessons. Since nine years old he has been performing as a soloist with the symphonic orchestra of the Kharkov philharmonic.

In 1995 he enrolled in school at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Then he graduated from Ippolitov-Ivanov Institute of Arts (I. Golovin studio). In 2001 – 2009 he was a postgraduate student and a trainee with the Moscow conservatory (S. Kravchenko studio).

In 1999 – 2009 he worked with the State Academic Bolshoi theatre, since 2003 had been a concertmaster of the orchestra. From 2009 to 2017 he has been a concertmaster of the Mariinsky symphonic orchestra. In 2012 – 2013 he had been working in Spain with the orchestra founded by Lorin Maazel.

Alexey Lukrinsky cooperates with many outstanding musicians, performs as a soloist with the orchestras of the Bolshoi and the Mariinsky theatre, Virtuosos of Minsk orchestra and other. He takes part in Russian and international festivals, and gives master classes in Moscow, St.-Petersburg and other places in Russia.
