In February 2021 Alessandra di Giorgio made a much acclaimed debut in the role of Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly) at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (M° Stefano Ranzani).In 2020/21 season, Alessandra di Giorgio appeared in a Gala Concert at Theatro Lirico di Cagliari, conducted by Giampaolo Bisanti.
In november 2019, has recorded her first CD under Brilliant Classic as Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana together with the Berliner Symphoniker. Its presentation konzert will see her in May 2021 on the stage of the Berliner Philharmonie.
In 2019 she debuted at the Bayreuth Festival in occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Siegfried Wagner and has sung at the historical Markgräfliches Opernhaus in the production of his opera An allem ist Hutchen schuld as well as in the Gala Concert dedicated to the composer. She sang in the production of another Siegfried Wagner’s Operas, Rainulf und Adelaisa in the role of Sigilgaita; the Queen of Saba by K. Goldmark at the prestigious Klosterneuburg in Vienna, organized by the Pianopianissimo-musiktheater Munchen under the direction of Peter P. Pachel.
Considered one of her signature roles, Ms Di Giorgio performed in November 2019 Verdi Requiem at the Bruckenerhaus Linz. Among previous interpretations: the Concert series that took place in May 2018 which included the Philharmonie de Paris, the Versailles Festival, the La Seine Musicale Paris with the Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France under the baton of M° Enrique Mazzola and at the Aachen Cathedral, in Freiburg and in Calabria: her great success was highly celebrated as “ a tragedienne, with a rich register capable of expressing wadded deep harmonic tones and even subterranean groans as well as high shimmering notes . Supported by the immense sound palette of the orchestra, she embraces the pulpit and embodies the nobility as well as the profound af fliction of the text.
Her broad experience in interpretation of the verdian operatic roles, shows throughout this dramatic piece in the beautifully guided lines.” In 2018/2019 Ms Di Giorgio sang her second production of Macbeth (Theater Aachen and Stadtstheater Cottbus, Germany) as Lady Macbeth. Opera Magazine describes her as “a voice with impressive top notes (including a high D flat) which makes for a sensuous and vibrant Lady Macbeth” . In the cavatina “ Vieni t’affretta…” she places the large tone jumps with such vocal perfection, that no break between high and low notes is audible. Every note she sings is intense with feelings, high notes are brilliant and clear in fortissimo and her toying in the low register, with her dusky voice, always pays off.” Ms Di Giorgio was further to be heard in Trittico Puccini at Theater Bonn, Aida at the National Theater of Belgrade and at the Opera Craiova, Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, Carmen (she has been depicted by Opernglas as “an absolutely authentic Carmen” and praised by Grenzecho Net for her “gripping depiction of all erotic Nuances, loose art of seduction with a full-bodied opulent voice, elegant lightness and beautiful legato singing”).
Among her greatest successes: Don Carlo, Tannhäuser, Norma, Tristan und Isolde, Ariadne auf Naxos, Hänsel und Gretel, Mefistofele, Ariodante and in Monteverdi’s Incoronazione di Poppea . Amidst the concerts: 8th Symphony of Mahler, 9th Symphony of Beethoven, Lieder aus Jiddischer folks Poesie by D.Shostakovich and the Wesendonck Lieder by Wagner.
Until 2017, she has been part of the ensemble directly upon finishing her studies at the Music Conservatory in Mannheim 2012. The appearances in prestigious Music Festivals include: the Heidelberg Fruhling Festival, Versailles Festival, Dusseldorf, Musik Festival, Bucharest Gala in Romania, Baden Baden Festival, Open air festival Kurpark Classix Aachen, “Mermer i zvuci” Arandjelovac (Serbia).
Winner of the Vienna International New Years Competition 2018, has sung at the Gala Concert in the Konzertsaal der Wiener Sängerknaben accompanied by the Wiener Stadtorchester . She was awarded The Gold Medal Prize at the prestigious 2010 International Opera Competition “Hariclea Darclee” in Braila (Romania) with Nicolae Herlea as president of the jury, and the third prize in 2010 and the special Prize awarded by Joan Sutherland in 2007 at the International Competition “Amici della Musica”, Alcamo (Italy).
At the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts (2009-2012) instead she was the recipient of the Wilhelm Muller Foundation Scholarship.
