National Onegin opera prize winner

Graduated from the Novosibirsk state conservatoire named after M. I. Glinka (2003, class of People’s Artist of Russia, professor V. Urbanovich)

He joined the opera company of the Novosibirsk opera and ballet theatre in 2003.

His repertoire with the company includes the following parts: Basilio (Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro), Tichon (Janáček’s Káťa Kabanová), Lyapkin-Tyapkin (Dashkevich’s The Government Inspector, world premiere), Tattered peasant (Shostakovich’s Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District), Sailor (Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas), tenor part in Stravinsky’s Les Noces, Chekalinsky and Master of Ceremonies in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades. Currently his repertoire comprises over 16 various parts in the company’s productions, including the following: Misail (Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov), Spoletta (Puccini’s Tosca), Le Remendado (Bizet’s Carmen), Alméric (Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta), Bardolfo (Verdi’s Falstaff).

He took part in company’s tours to the UK, South Korea and Thailand.

In 2020 he received a National Onegin opera award in the category Artistic Management for his performance of Bardolfo in Verdi’s Falstaff.
