New Jose: Down from a Corrida, Straight to the Ship

On February 22, for the first time ever the part of Jose in Carmen opera will be performed by Mikhail Agafonov, who has a great years long experience on the major opera stages of the world. The tenor, who has already performed in several significant productions of NOVAT, is going to St. Petersburg right after the debut, where he will participate in the performance of "The Flying Dutchman" opera by Wagner on February 28 on the stage of the Mikhailovsky Theatre.

Mikhail Agafonov cooperates with our Theatre from last summer. He made his debut on the Novosibirsk stage as Radames in Aida, then he performed the part of Calaf in Turandot opera by Puccini. In the beginning of 2017 Mikhail officially started working in the opera Company of NOVAT, one of the most recent performances of the singer was the main role in Un Ballo in Maschera by Giuseppe Verdi.

Mikhail Agafonov's as Jose in NOVAT will take place on Wednesday, February 22. Tickets can be purchased in the box office of the Theatre.
