Dear colleagues and friends! Lidia Krupenina, People’s Artist of the USSR, iconic ballerina, pedagogue of celebrated Novosibirsk opera and ballet theatre has passed away.

Her entire life was utterly devoted to the stage. Graduate of the ballet school under the Bolshoi theatre of the USSR, she was assigned to Novosibirsk and performed many leading ballet parts in the course of the years of her creative work. She was adored by theatre goers of the whole region; she was catching bursts of ballet enthusiasts’ applause everywhere the Company went on tour. And it was a well deserved success of a remarkable ballerina, who eventually became a brilliant pedagogue. Having learnt highest mastership from her teachers, she happily shared it with her students.

Lidia Krupenina lived a great, bright and beautiful life; she left wonderful memories of her creative work, brought up several generations of talented ballet dancers and we are thankful for everything she did for the arts, hats off to her.

I express my sincere condolences to friends and family of Lidia Krupenina, team of the Novosibirsk opera and ballet theatre, to everyone who knew and loved this amazing artist.
