Today, 16 June, the soloist of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet theatre Veronika Dzhioeva whose festival started in Novosibirsk a week ago will play Aida in Vyacheslav Starodubtsev’s opera of the same name. Recently, the national artist of the South Ossetia republic and the national artist of the North Ossetia republic – Alania met the journalists and told about preparations for the debut in Turandot part from Puccini’s opera.
“I can’t wait to try this image on – admits prima donna – I like this kind of characters for their inner state and emotional heat; that list includes Tosca, lady Macbeth and Katerina Izmaylova”.
Veronika Dzhioeva mentioned that she chose wisely the performances for the music forum. “The programme of the festival came out very interesting – thinks prima donna – the main thing that it’s versatile, since I will sing both my favorite parts like Mimi, Aida, Michaela and debut as Turandot and Amelia from “Un Ballo in Maschera”.
The singer told that after the festival she won’t get any rest, and her schedule is filled till 2020. “I was invited to conduct international master classes in Crimea right after the festival; there would also come the young singers and together we will prepare “La Traviata” – told Veronika Dzhioeva – Then I take part in a big concert in Sevastopol featured with Vasily Ladyuk, Alexey Tatarintsev and Agunda Kulaeva and in September I play the title role in an avant-garde opera in València”.
Then all of a sudden Veronika mentioned she dreams to play the lead part in Georges Bizet’s “Carmen” opera. “I fell like Carmen could become one of my best parts – noted the singer – it’s is very close to my voice. I surely will sing it in Novosibirsk, since I believe the performance of our theatre is one of the most beautiful”.
The next appearances of Veronika Dzhioeva within her festival will happen:
- 16th June – “Aida” opera;
- 23rd June – “Turandot” opera;
- 30th June – “Carmen” opera;
- 5th July – “Un Ballo in Maschera”;
- 13th July – Closing of the festival. Gala concert featuring the world opera stars. Dmitry Korchak is the conductor, Vyacheslav Starodubtsev is the director.
