The expert council of the National Theatre Award and Performing Arts Festival Golden Mask considered Vyacheslav Starodubtsev’s production “Un Ballo in Maschera” one of the most remarkable performances of the season 2016-2017 and included it to the competition’s Long List.
It has been four years since the expert council mentioned performances of the Novosibirsk opera.
Vyacheslav Starodubtsev’s production aired on 20th October and covered more than 2 million viewers thanks to a unique project “OPERA XXI” created by Radio Russia and Odnoklassniki social network.
Renato performer Alexey Zelenkov, a soloist of the Novosibirsk opera received a National “Onegin” Opera Award on 29th October; Sergey Kuzmin, his colleague who played Riccardo, was awarded with a Special prize “Radio Russia Artist”.
