A modern version of the outstanding production that was released in 1945 is now revived in a way that is more familiar to contemporary audience. This performance’s significant feature is a fine combination of good old classical ballet with XXI century visual technology. In this production computer generated images get along with traditional costumes and props. Rostislav Zakharov, creator of this ballet’s original choreography referred to it as “a song of human life’s springtime, of youth, happiness and dream”. During his work Mikhail Messerer pursued the mood set by the ballet’s author.
