Laureate of the International competition

Sergey Stepanyan was born in Yerevan in 1996. In 2007 – 2011 he studied at Voice vocal choir school, and then at Tchaikovsky Special Music School in Yerevan. After graduating from the School in 2014 he entered Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, voice department. In 2019 he was awarded with master’s degree. Alongside this, he studied at Accademia Lirica Internazionale di Arte Lirica in Osimo, Italy. He attended master classes of such known singer as Gegam Grigorian, Barseg Tumanyan, Raina Kabaiwanska, Ernesto Palacio. Sergey took part in International concerts and festivals, including the performance at the St John's, Smith Square Westminster, England (2010). He was a laureate of the 9th festival “Let’s change the world for the better” (Ukraine, 2010); the same year he was awarded Best Singer at the Yerevan Music Competition-Festival. As a participant at iSING! International Young Artists Festival he performed at the Zhengyici Beijing Opera Theatre, Suzhou Science & Cultural Arts Centre with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra (2018). In 2019 he performed in Yerevan at the Gala Concert with the famous soprano Veronika Dzhioeva and the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra; conducted by Eduard Topchjan.
